Seaforth Gardens is a fully accredited aged care facility committed to providing high quality care which complies with all legislative standards. We strive to deliver holistic aged care and support to all our residents.

We are looking for experienced Allied health Assistants or Physiotherapy assistants (certificates) staff to assist the team and support our residents on a permanent part time basis.

Can You Confidently Say You Have Achieved The Following

  • Delivers a high standard of care in accordance with the residents’ individualised care plans
  • Provides accurate and appropriate documentation to enable all staff to appropriately care for the residents.
  • Adhere to the principles of Continuous Improvement and ensure the Quality Management System is actively supported.
  • A customer focused approach is promoted and practiced.
  • Effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills are used at all times.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of regulations pertinent to the position

Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the safe usage of equipment

Demonstrates appropriate level of knowledge of the behavioral and psychological dimensions and symptoms of dementia

Knowledge of infection control requirements and procedures

Supports aged clients with emotional issues including grief

Follow programs that are set by the Occupational Therapist

Ensure therapy programs are provided to residents with compassion and sensitivity

Ensure that programs are flexible to meet the needs of the individual and for group applications

Ensure programs are stimulating and interesting and seek to maximize resident involvement and interaction

Conveys information effectively – verbally and in writing

Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to assert own ideas and gain agreement or acceptance of others

Engages and contributes to team activities including discussions

Performs all duties in a safe manner, ensuring the safety of self and others
