Learning Support Assistant – Agriculture & Horticulture

Multiple Part-time vacancies available, Term Time Working, Fixed Term until 30th June 2023,

We have an exciting opportunity for talented, highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Horticultural department working either 30 hours across 5 days (Monday – Friday) or 22.5 hours across 3 days (Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays), term-time only. Working alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff the successful candidates will provide an outstanding learning experience for our students with a variety of additional needs.

These roles are an important integral part of the horticulture team. Allowing the successful candidates to offer department specific in-class and, in some instances, out of class support to learners with a range of abilities and needs. The successful candidates will have an interest in horticulture and be happy to work with the learners within our extensive grounds and gardens.

Horticulture is a varied profession which involves the growing and caring for plants and is known for its calming and health boosting effects. This role involves supporting learners to gain the skills to work within the horticulture industry.
