Learning Manager

The Role

To lead and manage the development and delivery of annual education and learning programmes from nursery to tertiary, education outreach and beyond across RZSS in support of RZSS strategy aims, national aims and curriculum outcomes

Some of the things you’ll be doing
Contribute to the development and delivery of education and learning programmes across RZSS ensuring consistency and suitability
Lead, develop and manage the EZ learning team, developing skills and knowledge, allocating programme development, communicating targets and monitoring performance and dealing with issues that may arise
Manage and develop the seasonal learning staff, learning associates and education volunteers and their programmes
Liaise with appropriate education bodies to ensure all learning programmes meet the needs of the users and conditions of any funding received
Lead, manage and develop schools, outreach, youth and holiday club resources
Push best practice and horizon plan to help RZSS lead the way in learning outside of the traditional environment and conservation education
Support the society in delivering towards RZSS’s mission delivery
Lead, research, develop and deliver on all aspects of learning activities and outcomes for agreed target participants, to agreed standards, ensuring all activities deliver value on the learner journey

What We Are Looking For
Excellent knowledge of learning outside the classroom, life long learning pathways and the Scottish curriculum
Strategic level knowledge and understanding of the national education agenda
Ability to plan, design, deliver and evaluate programmes using a variety of innovative and contemporary methodologies
Significant experience in planning, designing, and delivering education programmes using a variety of innovative and contemporary methodologies
Track record of providing first class customer care and service through education delivery and development and delivery of learning outside the classroom including the use of online, remote and blended learning delivery
