ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Programs Coordinator will provide administrative and financial support for assigned programs in Thailand. The Programs Coordinator will report to the Program Manager for Asia and will work closely with the Thailand Senior Program Officer to facilitate the implementation of programs by providing overall administrative support of assigned projects and internal coordination on procurement and logistics, financial and procurement, managing payments, and other administrative tasks. The Programs Coordinator will also liaise with program partners and subgrantees on administrative planning, data and reports, collecting M&E data, and other coordination tasks.

LOGISTICS

Internews has a field office in Bangkok, Thailand which supports a hybrid workforce with staff working remotely, fully in-office or partially remote. Ultimately this position may work remotely from Thailand, partially remote from our Bangkok office, or fully in-office for candidates based in the Bangkok area.

Wherever possible, we work to try to find solutions for international hiring that work for both the company and the candidate. This means that some of the particulars around the offer for a role will be dependent on several factors, and that the benefits and salary structure that apply to a position will ultimately be based upon the candidate’s location and where the role is hired

Note: Hiring is contingent upon receipt of funding.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include :

  • Liaise with Internews’ implementation partners on financial and grant administration;
  • Collaborate with Internews’ regional office and the finance team in Bangkok on administrative tasks to facilitate program implementation;
  • Work with Internews’ sub-granting team to process partners agreements and coordinate on deliverables, reporting, and payments;
  • Support in organizing logistics, supplies, and procurement needs for planned activities;
  • Support in processing payments to vendors and contractors in coordination with finance team members;
  • Assist in timely collection of information from partners and other relevant stakeholders as requested and in line with donor reporting requirements;
  • Manage logistics for travel and meetings and procurement of visas as needed;
  • Manage administrative tasks according to set project timelines;
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Required

  • Minimum two years of experience working in civil society or media development organizations in a programmatic or administrative capacity.
  • Relevant university degree.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
  • Fluency in Thai language is required.
  • Legally authorized to live and work in Thailand.
  • Proven ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple ongoing assignments.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
