The Team: We redefine the customer experience by aiding partner tech teams in testing and shaping Amazon consumer devices. You will be part of a fast paced, energetic and dynamic team that handles testing challenges of various natures. Our test areas are spread across firmware, mobile (iOS and Android), eero Insight and connectivity.

The Role

  • Test and act as a point of contact for large components and features.
  • Must have domain expertise in testing a product and software
  • Must know test lifecycle and should be able to recommend the appropriate test methodology.
  • Ability to work on time-sensitive tasks in the absence of pre-set work instructions, SOPs, or with limited documentation.
  • Must be able to guide on test procedures, processes, and findings to peers and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to provide testers with assistance during the implementation of new initiatives and suggest appropriate tools.
  • Must be able to optimize team resources and help scale them for future needs.
  • Must ensure existing process stay relevant, explore feasible options to eliminate non-value SOPs, and partner with peers and team members to build useful solutions.
  • Must be able to stay on top of team, project, and product communications and latest updates and share relevant information with your team.
  • Must work closely with QA/SDET to reduce manual effort involved by proactively identifying scope for automation.
  • Must understand the automation frameworks and available test setups.
  • Create scalable processes and documentation (e.g., SOPs, wikis, findings, etc.) that supports the work of others.
  • Must be able to help managers estimate the time to test by providing input on component functional complexities, risks, and external dependencies (e.g., lab limitation, developer/QA team support, etc.) and assist in the creation of mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate release retrospectives and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Perform an impact analysis of legacy features (i.e., periodically assess features impacted by product development change(s) to ensure they are tested appropriately and test cases are prioritized for regression testing).
  • Contribute to test suite improvements, align test cases to projects and make sure they are maintained without discrepancies.
  • Review all bugs/issues filed by your team. You evaluate the issues and provide input to stakeholders to help them understand the test infrastructure needs of the projects.
  • Take proactive measures that reduce quality misses and identify issues early on in the release cycle.
  • Perform first level of triaging of issues raised by your team. Handle escalations, perform root cause analysis, provide data to the managers/stakeholders, and take ownership of any action items identified in that process.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.E, B.Tech, MSC IT, MCA including 5+ year(s) Testing Experience
  • Testing Knowledge and QA methodologies
  • Strong Analytical Skill
  • Strong Communication Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Connectivity related domain
  • Experience in testing Tablets, smart TV devices
