As a Technical Writing Intern, you’ll benefit from the mentorship of the team. We’ll help hone your skills in using simple language, writing for localisation, learning how to identify and address user needs, and to simplify what is technical and complex. You’ll also gain experience working in a fast-paced software development environment.

Our UK internships begin in July 2022, running for 11 months into June 2023. This will sit as a placement year/year in industry as the third year of your four-year undergraduate study.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with Unity’s development teams globally
- Research and document new features and workflows in time for release
- Empathise with users and provide them with information to help them achieve their goals
- Improve our existing content by understanding problems resulting from poor documentation
- Work with the style guide, writers, and editors to ensure your documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and usable as possible, while maintaining Unity’s voice and tone
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for writing, and strong skills in English
- A passion for technology and gaming
- The ability to manage your time well, and work asynchronously in a collaborative environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
You might also have
- Experience producing documentation using HTML/CSS or Markdown
- Knowledge of mobile gaming acquisition, retention, monetization, or live operations practices
- Experience with programming languages, especially C#, Java, or Objective-C
