Technical Experts

Chemonics seeks technical experts for the anticipated USAID-funded Supporting Albania’s EU Accession through Market Competitiveness Activity. The purpose of this Activity is to help accelerate Albania’s accession to the European Union (EU) through improved competitiveness and EU market integration. The Activity will support Albanian counterparts to meet the criteria for accession and ensure that the approximation legislation needed to align with the EU Acquis are impactfully modeled through support to agri-food value chain(s). The role will be based in Tirana, Albania.

We are seeking mid- and senior-level technical specialists in the following areas:

• Export promotion and market development
• Horticultural value chain strengthening
• Agricultural extension/farming training
• Public private partnerships
• Agriculture policy
• Food safety
• Cold storage
• Post-Harvest Management
• Access to finance and investment promotion
• Research and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• At least five years of demonstrated technical expertise and experience designing and managing programming in one or more of the technical areas outlined above is required.
• Experience working on USAID–funded activities is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
• Written and verbal fluency in English and Albanian required.
