Your Mission

We are actively recruiting a Technical Artist to be part of our Art Team here at MPG & deliver expert support services to our prospective clients and you’ll be working with all disciplines (art, animation, engineering, design, QA etc) to help deliver some of the best multiplayer experiences available.

As a Technical Artist, you will be collaborating with various disciplines, alongside art, to bring the art director’s vision to life, all while ensuring content is both feasible & optimised, and helping to lay the track for others to follow with new pipelines & tools which stand the test of time. You will also be helping to build systems which are used to help us achieve various effects and visual flare.

You are an active voice in the team, and the person other people can come to for assistance, and you will need to be good at proactively communicating with other disciplines to represent the wider art team.

Drawing on your experience with game development & art, you will be able to help us build some amazing experiences, and work with some incredible people.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to play a big part in the art team, and help to build something special.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping to bring the art director’s unique vision to life
  • Developing art pipelines for building optimised content
  • Working with engineering to ensure art content is optimised for target platforms
  • Building various tools to assist with various tasks and pipelines
  • Writing optimised shaders/materials for various purposes
  • Helping to build systems for various effects
  • Working with relevant DCCs, game development software, production tools, and source control
  • Sharing knowledge with the wider team & writing documentation for others to follow
  • Attending stand-ups and various craft meetings to represent the discipline

What We’ll Need From You

  • Background in art
  • Experience with Unreal Engine (Blueprints)
  • Python is a bonus
  • C++ is a bonus
  • Rendering knowledge (HLSL/GLSL is a bonus)
  • Procedural content generation knowledge is a bonus
