Teaching Personnel

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is experienced working with SEMH within a primary setting to start as soon as possible.

We have roles across several schools in the Penzance to Camborne area. It is important that you are punctual and reliable as it is important that you are trustworthy to the students which will help you to build strong relationships. You will need to work well in a team as you will be required to communicate effectively with the Class Teacher and the Teaching Assistants within the class. It is also important that you are confident when working alone as on occasions you will be working with students on a 1:1 basis and you may be required to leave the classroom for learning to take place in a quieter environment. It is important that you have excellent curriculum knowledge as you will be responsible for helping students complete their work and you will be expected to help with areas the students are struggling with by finding additional work for them to aid their learning.

The ideal candidate will be available Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm during term time. You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
