This position focuses on helping our team of professionals provide top quality tax services to our broad client base of owner managed businesses and farm businesses.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior staff, and to join an organization that puts emphasis on employee development and enhancement of their knowledge and skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with a partner or other senior tax staff in preparing elections, objections and representations to tax authorities
- Liaising with tax authorities on audits and requests for information
- Assisting partners and senior staff in compiling client information for special tax projects
- Providing tax enquiry support to both clients and internal professional staff
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
A successful candidate will have:
- Excellent computer skills and a demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new computer programs
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Previous experience related to Canadian tax
Experience and education requirements:
- Minimum of one year of post designation experience with a Canadian public accounting firm, preferably with a small to mid-sized firm
- Previous experience related to Canadian tax
- Enrollment in or completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program would be an asset.
