Our Client in the Wigan area are looking for a Research and Development Chemist to work in a fast paced chemical manufacturing environment.
Main duties include;
Day to day batch manufacture required during the lab scale development of new products
Undertake experimental work in accordance with manuals.
Regularly and clearly record all process information.
Prepare laboratory samples and prepare for dispatch
Testing and evaluation of competitors products
Plus many further responsibilities related to the above and complying with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management systems.
The ideal candidate will;
Have a degree in a relevant subject
Be able to follow chemistry testing techniques
Hold IOSH award
Have experience working in a busy lab environment
Have experience working within a chemical industry (COMAH site)
Be IT proficient particularly Microsoft Office
Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Salary is £18,000 – £20,475 DOE
Location: Standish, Wigan
