ABOUT THE TALENT ACQUISITION TEAM

The Talent Acquisition team strives to build diverse talent pipelines and pools through proactive outreach on various external and internal platforms with a particular focus on gender, geographic distribution (under-represented nationalities), and persons with disabilities to contribute to an inclusive and diverse International Professional workforce at WFP.

THE ROLE

We are seeking Talent Sourcing Experts who will develop, gain support for, and implement the strategies needed to identify, attract, and acquire the best talent to meet WFP’s business needs. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for workforce diversity; constantly thinks about how to introduce new methods and ideas for identifying and engaging top talent; and successfully enlists support from the business for talent attraction, networking and workforce diversity engagement initiatives. The role will plan and execute diverse sourcing strategies to attract top talent, develop strong partnerships with candidates and hiring managers, build a strong bench-strength of qualified diverse candidates, and cultivate an in depth understanding of the organization’s talent needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Develop talent acquisition sourcing strategies and create approaches that look beyond direct applications and leverage search engines, career sites, social media, recruiting & networking events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to find and engage the best talent in the market to meet global objectives and support WFP strategic goals.
  • Partner with functional managers to understand their specific functional needs and plan/implement solutions to meet these staffing needs.
  • Articulate our employee value proposition, while enhancing visibility and reputation in key recruiting channels.
  • Contribute to the construction of talent pools for future positions across WFP, focusing on passive candidates.
  • Maintain and nurture a pipeline of candidates, identify opportunities that align with interests and expectations and provide exceptional candidate experience through effectively:

a) Assessing their skills and career aspirations
b) Aligning their talents with roles
c) Ensuring ongoing relationship management
d) Recommending, championing and advocating for their candidacy

  • When needed, handle full-cycle recruitment for some positions in the organization, particularly those that have challenges with diverse talent pools.
  • Stay up-to-date on new media tools, best practices, and how the talent acquisition team can best leverage these recruiting/networking tools.
  • Participate and support in other Talent Acquisition initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education:

You have:

  • Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field.

Experience:

You have:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of postgraduate professional experience in the field of Talent Acquisition and/or sourcing. Experience working in an international environment, as part of a multicultural and diverse team is highly desirable.

Language:

You have:

  • Fluency (level C) in English language.
  • Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese desired

  • You have demonstrated success in assembling key sourcing intelligence, developing effective outreach strategies and deploying creative candidate pipeline development methodologies.
  • You have proven track record of success with a variety of recruiting methods including direct sourcing, social recruiting and traditional methods.
  • You have sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles with a broad knowledge of best practices, techniques, and processes.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be extremely organized.
  • You possess excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the aptitude to adapt communication style to the relevant audience.
  • You have an ability to manage multiple priorities at any time, in a fast-paced environment
  • You have exceptional time management, proactive with a strong sense of urgency
