JOB BRIEF

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for contributing to full-cycle recruiting, which includes building a compelling employer brand, sourcing talent, refreshing our selection process, and proactively growing a strong talent pipeline. The position is based in the Washington, DC Headquarters office (HQ).

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will provide recruiting and administrative support to the USIP Office of Human Resources. The successful candidate will contribute to the recruitment of staff for the Institute locally and individuals abroad.

TARGET SALARY

Grade 09 – $64,000 – $67,000

The Institute uses the General Schedule salary tables for administering compensation. Offers are determined based upon candidate qualifications, related experience, internal equity, and the amount budgeted for the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Contribute to the execution of a full life cycle recruiting process for USIP candidates.
* Ensure that staffing requirements are satisfied in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the interviewing and hiring process for all USIP departments based in HQ and abroad.
* Post jobs, review resumes, screen candidates for junior positions, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, prepare offer letters, and provide follow-up as necessary.
* Provide guidance and recommendations to junior level positions hiring managers in all aspects of recruitment.
* Manage the Applicants Tracking System and assist in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process.
* Complete personnel/payroll paperwork as required for new hires and departures.
* Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to assess current recruitment strategies and the organization’s staffing needs.
* Contribute to implementing best practices for the Institute.
* Complete an accurate Weekly Recruiting Report on employment activity and report on success measures/metrics. Represent the Institute at job fairs and recruiting events.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in related Human Resources or related field or a combination of education, certifications and equivalent work experience required.
* Three (3) years of relevant professional work experience in a recruiting/HR/Administration role, preferably in international development or government agency.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as time management, presentation and organizational skills required.
* Experience multi-tasking in a complex environment, and attention to detail required.
* Experience with social media and the ability to utilize networks is a plus.
* Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.
* Ability to work under direct supervision and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential issues and/or information required.
* Experience effectively communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization, required, and handling time-sensitive situations.
* Proficient in all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), required. Strong computer skills in database usage are preferred.
* Critical thinking, detail oriented, effective communicating and problem-solving skills are a plus.
* Knowledge of employment regulations is a plus.
