Tableau Trainer: USAID/Haiti Evaluation and Survey Services Plus (ESS+) Project

Project Objectives:

In August 2022, The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded International Business Initiatives Corp. (IBI) and SI the Evaluation Survey Services Plus (ESS+) contract to support USAID/Haiti and its partners with evaluations, survey and study support, capacity building and learning events, and in-country Third Party Monitoring (TPM).

Under the ESS+ capacity building component, USAID requests to conduct training for USAID mission staff in interactive dashboard using Tableau. The objective of the training is to provide hands-on trainings, allowing USAID Haiti mission staff to become proficient with Tableau and be competent in generating interactive dashboards using tableau.

Position Description:

Haiti ESS+ is seeking an expert Tableau Trainer consultant to lead the training. S/he is expected to be experienced in facilitating and providing training on dashboard design using Tableau.

The training will be conducted using state of the art technologies and sound communication methods including adult learning principles to allow smooth learning of dashboard design using Tableau. Specifically, the consultant will develop a coherent one-week training schedule and training materials addressing the objectives mentioned above. S/he will conduct the training and include hands-on exercises on dashboard design.

In terms of deliverables, the consultant will provide the USAID mission a training schedule and training materials outlining all the themes to be covered and the exercises to be conducted during the training. More importantly, the trainer must discuss any identified shortcomings and prerequisite for the learning for a mutual understanding and actions to correct them.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Conduct the training in a respectful and transparent manner, ensuring the achievement of above-mentioned deliverables.

· Provide sound schedule and materials for the training.

· Ensure the highest level of reliability and validity of the information being transmitted.

· Lead and coordinate all information delivery and hand-on training.

· Take ultimate responsibility for writing all materials associated with the training.

· Manage all deadlines for materials and training venues.

· Assist Haiti ESS+ in maintaining good working relationships with USAID.

· Collaborate with the IBI headquarters and Haiti ESS+ staff with strategic and operational planning to implement the training.

· Administer a pre- and post-training evaluation.

· Provide a training report.

Qualifications

· A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information system, computer engineering or related major.

· Advance level of Tableau with minimum 3 years of experience using Tableau and designing dashboard

· Strong writing and oral presentation skills

· Must be fluent in English. French and/or Creole strongly preferred.

· Familiarity with USAID policies and practices including evaluation policy, results frameworks, and performance monitoring plans
