IRW is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Systems Accountant’ to join its dynamic and growing Finance Division. The postholder is responsible for:

· Manage the implementation and rollout for the system changes and enhancements to the ERP system financial modules.

· Work in collaboration with the ICT team to manage ERP and other projects affecting finance to provide support and expertise to the organisation.

· Lead the centralising of reporting and dashboarding of key financial analyse including charity funds reporting, reserves analysis

· Leading on the migration of financial data between systems.

· Support the alignment of financial reporting policies and practices across the organisation.

· Approving access to ERP finance roles, maintenance of GL.

· Preparation of mitigation reports for senior management.

· Project management if system enhancements and process improvements.

· To be the first line of testing of newly implemented enhancements

· Administration of financial controls on ERP system.

· Ongoing development of finance data warehouse.

· Day to day administration of finance-owned systems.

· Represent Finance and play a leading role in the implementation of new ERP and CRM systems

The successful candidate must have or be:

· Degree in Accountancy/Finance or related subject

· Qualified ACCA/CIMA.

· Advanced knowledge of Unit 4 software

  • Up to date knowledge of IFRS and financial processes

· Up to date knowledge and understanding of charity accounting, in particular, restricted and unrestricted Funds reporting and allocation of funds

  • A high level of proficiency in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets

· Ability to design complex and bespoke reports for executive management

· Ability to exercise judgment and take decisions on unexpected problems

· Solid experience in the management of financial systems, including improving, streamlining, and implementing systems

· Highly experienced in providing training to users of Financial Systems

  • Proven experience of budgeting, monitoring financial results, undertaking appropriate analysis and reporting to senior management
  • Experienced in liaising with Auditors and responding to Auditors’ queries

· Proven experience in delivering high-quality service to users of an ERP system

· Experience in funds accounting and appropriate allocation of funds in line with charity policies and guidelines

· Demonstrated ability to compile, analyse and interpret complex financial data and to prepare thorough clear and concise written documentations with conclusions

· Experience in operating and extracting data from complex accounting systems
