Surveyor – damp & mould compliance (Level 3)

Permanent – Full time (37 hrs)

Flexible working – mix of office and working from home (minimum 1 day in office)

Salary: £47,000 per annum

Location: Trowbridge, Melksham and surrounding area

The role

We have a fantastic work opportunity for a Damp & Mould Surveyor in our compliance surveying team.

For this role you will need to be a qualified candidate with specific experience in Damp & Mould cases within social housing.

We view addressing damp and mould as a crucial compliance function, with our progress regularly monitored and reported to the executive team and board.

Substantial investments have been made to enhance processes and technology to combat the issue.

Joining our dedicated team formed in 2021, we expect your commitment to customers, homes, and personal skill development.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following;

  • Reporting to the compliance manager and collaborating closely with your head of service.
  • Deliver a customer-focused service tailored to diverse needs, ensuring clear and honest communication with customers.
  • Employ tact and diplomacy in explaining services to manage expectations appropriately.
  • Meet corporate and service-specific key performance indicators.
  • Ensure effective and timely preparation for contract work to facilitate sound contractual arrangements.

What We Need

For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience.

  • GCSE or ‘O’ Level standard (or equivalent) with grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • HNC in Building or Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding maintenance and construction management.
  • Experienced in contract management within budget constraints.
  • Knowledge of project management from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in computer systems within a maintenance environment.
  • All candidates must have a driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • A basic DBS check will completed for this role.
