POSITION SUMMARY:

HIAS seeks a Surge Recruitment Consultant to support hiring and recruitment across its European operations for Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Poland. They will support the full recruitment lifecycle and candidate experiences. This consultant will report to the International Human Resources Manager and work closely with the Senior Director, International Human Resources. The ideal consultant is a highly motivated, committed and driven individual who is passionate about human resources and seeks to provide an excellent talent experience.

This position is based remotely in Europe and welcomes European applicants, especially with Ukrainian, Polish or Romanian language skills.

OBJECTIVES & DELIVERABLES:

  • Supports recruitment and selection process, including collaborating with hiring managers, reviewing job descriptions, implementing recruitment plans, reviewing applications, screening applicants and scheduling interviews.
  • Acquires necessary onboarding information from candidates, such as references, biographical data and required documentation.
  • Serves as the candidate’s primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
  • Assists with onboarding of new employees.
  • Responsible for external job postings.
  • Submits new hire paperwork and creates new hire packets, where applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • English and Ukrainian, Romanian or Polish fluency strongly preferred.
  • Experience working for and completing surge staffing for humanitarian and/or international organization highly preferred.
  • Advanced project management, time management and customer service skills.
  • Advanced communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, human resources and recruitment skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, independent and reliable.
  • Strong cross-cultural skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in human rights and social justice.
