Amnesty International

Are you an experienced digital marketer looking to utilise your expertise to support our mission for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all?

JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Americas Regional Office, working together for human rights change. We are looking for a Supporter Engagement Officer to engage and retain our supporter base in countries where Amnesty does not have a formal presence in the region with a focus on, but not limited to, email marketing.

The Supporter Engagement Officer will design and implement audience journeys to grow, develop and mobilise Amnesty International’s supporters in Latin America and the Caribbean.

ABOUT YOU

As an experienced digital marketer, you will have knowledge of digital content creation, both in English and Spanish, for Latin American audiences. You will be able to analyse and report on digital marketing KPIs, using this data to improve audience engagement, and you will show a commitment to the values and behaviours of Amnesty International, including the principles of anti-racism, anti-oppression, anti-sexism and equity.

Experience in the non-profit sector is desired but not essential, particularly in campaigning and fundraising.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To help grow and develop new online audiences and increase the engagement of existing Amnesty supporters in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in countries where we do not have a formal presence.
  • To design and deliver regional supporter journeys for audiences in countries where Amnesty doesn’t have a formal presence on a range of campaigns.
  • To write and produce compelling human rights content in Spanish and English that inspires, empowers, and mobilizes our audiences to get involved in our campaigns and activities; primarily for HTML emails, but also for other content types when applicable (eg digital adverts, videos, animations, blogs, etc).
  • To set up email campaigns, by templating HTML emails; commissioning translations and proofreading content; monitoring engagement, analysing data, and producing reports; and developing clear segmentation strategies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant proven experience of digital marketing in the Americas with expertise in email marketing.
  • Excellent written communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in digital content creation, particularly for Latin Americas audiences, including copywriting in Spanish and English, and HTML email design.
  • Experience in mass-mailing and CRM tools, preferably Engaging Networks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in audience segmentation, split testing, and response analysis and optimisation for email.
  • Analysis and reporting on digital marketing KPIs, including conversion and cost metrics.

Please see the attached job description for more information on responsibilities, skills and experience required.
