DESCRIPTION

Razom Health focuses on supporting hospitals and healthcare institutions serving patients across Ukraine, including frontline areas. Emerging from a training program for neurosurgeons, Razom Health has expanded into a multifaceted initiative responding to the humanitarian crisis following the 2022 invasion. Our team provides critical medical supplies, equipment, and training to under-resourced healthcare facilities in Ukraine. We collaborate with international organizations for medical procurement and gifts in kind (GIK), aiming to fortify and enhance the resilience of the Ukrainian healthcare system.

JOB SUMMARY

​​As the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager at Razom Health, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This includes managing logistics, procurement, gifts in kind (GIK), reporting and partner relations.

Program Director, Razom Health

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics operations, including the coordination of supply shipments from their origin to Ukraine and working closely with the Ukrainian logistics team to ensure seamless transport, receiving, warehousing, and distribution to guarantee prompt and efficient delivery in complex and evolving environments, including frontline areas.
  • Partner and Supplier Management: Establish, maintain, and strategically manage relationships with suppliers, donors, partners, corporations, hospitals, governmental organizations, logistics and shipping companies, focusing not only on negotiating favorable terms but also on identifying and fostering new partnerships and business development opportunities.
  • Gifts in Kind (GIK) and Medical Procurement Management: Oversee the acquisition, management and coordination of Razom Health’s GIK donations and medical supply procurements, ensuring effective receipt, tracking, and distribution of these valuable resources.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Deliver accurate and timely reporting of supply chain activities and data, emphasizing full transparency and robust implementation of best practices against fraud in line with Razom policies and procedures, donor rules, and both international and Ukrainian laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with various Razom departments in the US and Ukraine, including actively collaborating with Razom’s Ukrainian Logistics; Development and Communication; Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL); and Grants teams.
  • Budget Management: Manage the supply chain budget, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities, while also providing technical assistance in the development of future budgets.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: This role entails being a consultative figure in shaping and executing strategies that address specific operational complexities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, particularly those related to international and Ukrainian security and political challenges.
  • Capacity Building and Professional Development: Utilize technical expertise and experience to foster capacity building within Razom’s supply chain management operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s Degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics within healthcare, humanitarian, non-profit or international development sectors; previous experience working in Ukraine, supervisory experience and/or clinical medical experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing complex supply chain and logistics operations, particularly in disaster, crisis or conflict-affected areas; prior experience working with USAID, BHA, OCHA, WHO, ECHO, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic management of supplier/partner relations and budget management within the healthcare and/or humanitarian sectors.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Ukrainian is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills to effectively engage partners, suppliers, and donors.
  • In-depth understanding of the international humanitarian aid and disaster response sector, including an awareness of current challenges, trends, and the ability to stay informed on relevant news and developments impacting this field.
  • Commitment to Razom Health’s mission and values, transparency and do no harm principles; with a strong understanding of compliance and reporting as per donor and organizational policies.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, as well as standard office software, including Microsoft and Google suites.
  • Willingness to travel to Ukraine or other locations as needed.

SALARY RANGE

$65,000-$95,000

Final salary based on education, experience and qualifications as well as finalized scope of work.
