Job Description

Purpose:

The project manager in Vendor Management reports directly to the Global Sourcing & Supplier Strategy Senior Manager and works closely with the 2 Category Directors.

Their goal is to drive strategic suppliers-related projects and initiatives deployed globally.

They are responsible for analysing and providing informed insights on the suppliers’ base from raw materials to finished products.

They will drive the taskforce to automate the existing evaluation tool for supplier performance, the Scorecard, and build it around Lacoste’s sustainability goals.

They act as a bridge between Lacoste’s internal teams and the Suppliers.

They are crucial to the development of the Durable Elegance Project, a project that aims to elevate Lacoste supply chain. They will be the representative of Operations team on 2 pillars of this project.

Planet: Elevate our supply chain towards environmental excellence by bringing the principles of circular fashion to life to double lifespan of our products, while halving their impacts.

Communities: Elevate our products towards sustainable growth by joining forces with those committed to best practices to make each place where we operate an area of shared prosperity.

Main activities:

Vendor Management:

Responsible for the Supplier performance Scorecard throughout all fives Suppliers tiers to be delivered on-time, within scope and meet objectives/ Lead discussions with I.T. Teams and consultants to lay out better the current scorecard processes and define the needs of the Suppliers Strategy Teams/ Lead regular meetings with our merchandising and operation teams globally to gather their feedback on the Suppliers/ Analyse Suppliers’ performance evolution and consolidate corrective Action Plans with operational teams/ Update top-management about the results of the Scorecards, and the advancement of the Action Plan/ Enhance Suppliers’ relationship management via the organisation of events such as the Supplier Conference and Suppliers satisfaction surveys/ Build Business Plans and organise regular business meetings with strategic suppliers.

Durable Elegance Project:

Environmental data collect (Planet Pillar)/ Collaborate with CSR, Design and global Project teams to define Lacoste Durable Elegance Cockpit’s KPIs for more efficient environmental (Same KPIs as Scorecard)/Manage the environmental data collection’s animation through suppliers’ engagement, contact gathering, agenda tracking/ Report regularly on the project’s progress to the COMEX Members (EVP Operations and EVP Branding & Marketing)/Collaborate closely with the external consultants to define relevant environmental & social KPIs and communicate them the project’s requirements.

Livelihood (Communities Pillar)

Share ambitions and engage key stakeholders /Animate & lead the selection of NGO’s and suppliers’ community program /Build roadmap & follow up progress for each communities’ program/Manage the communication with NGO and selected suppliers.

Profile
Internal/external background:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Bachelor or master’s in business fields
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry is a plus

Specific requirements:

  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Fluency in French is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese), and Spanish may be a plus
