Duties

Summary

The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), Construction Division, Construction Branch. Performs as the Supervisory Construction Representative responsible for devising work, objectives, strategies, milestones, and stages of multifaceted projects. The ideal candidate for this position leads various trades in performing assigned construction and renovation projects carried out through the Construction Branch.

Specialized experience: is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: (1) leading a team of people that work in various trades performing construction and renovation projects in a historical occupied building and (2) having experience in planning construction projects and providing construction oversight from the planning stage to the completion of the projects.
