Job Summary : The VCH supervisor is a supply chain position shared byVCH Central Supply and VCH OR, will supervise a total of 16 supply chain staff. In addition to discipline, scheduling, Kronos, and time and attendance for staff. Will also be responsible for daily supervision of all inventory management duties in VCH Central Supply and OR, including restocking, inventory, OR case cart staging, will also be responsible for removing all expired supplies, stock rotation, and new inventory replacement, excellent customer service. The supervisor will be responsible for performing all functions of a supply tech during staffing issues.

Department Summary: Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s supply chain department is designed to enable physicians and clinicians to enhance quality outcomes and patient safety. Our team is comprised of almost 300 employees who strive to ensure efficient and successful behind-the-scenes operations for the hospital system.

Through Vanderbilt Health Supply Chain Solutions we help hospitals, practices and health systems achieve clinical integration in their supply chains to increase efficiency, reduce cost and improve accuracy of scheduling and delivery of medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities: ESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that adequate supply levels are maintained.
  • Verifies that documentation is completed for sending and receiving supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for assuring patient charge capture for medical supplies to ensure accurate patient billing.
  • Provides technical and operational training to new hires.
  • Implements plans to improve the quality and efficiency of services.

Shift Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, during training, No Weekends!!
