Our Plainsboro, NJ office is seeking an intern for our Technical Fragrance Development Intern in Perfumery. The working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week) during the summer months. This is strictly on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with our Technical Development Team on technical briefs, line extensions and regulatory modifications
• Initiating, evaluating product stabilities for different categories, color matching alcohol solutions and learning fundamentals of technical troubleshooting
• Develop olfactive acuity of fragrance components and raw materials
• Develop fundamentals of fragrance chemistry and raw material ingredient interactions
• Efficient and effective project management skills
• Constantly develops in-depth market product knowledge in other categories Maintain upkeeping of client contacts
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Review current client portfolio and conduct a master data cleansing exercise

Requirements

• College degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Process Engineering, Life Sciences and/or Biology, or similar field preferred
• Ability to be around strong fragrance smells for long periods of time
• Be agile and organized by thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments
• Sense of urgency and ability to deliver impact with insights
• Must be a team player and passionate about fragrance development cycle
• Must be available from June to end of August
• Must be willing to work 37.5 hours per week from our NJ office
• Team Player with a positive attitude and hard work ethic
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
