Basic Purpose

Savings Products Division (SPD) is focused on creating an exceptional deposit product suite & tool kit to enable our membership to meet their savings and financial goals. This role will be on the Savings Products Operations team, which consists of Savings & Checking Operations, Certificate/IRA & Trust Operations, and our Business Support team. As a team, we drive forward the product strategy, pricing and servicing of members checking, savings, money marketing, certificate, and IRA products. We are always looking for operational insights and process improvement/efficiency solutions to push forward our member experience and to set our members up for a life of financial success.

Savings and deposit products are something that most consumers interact with daily, and our membership is no different. SPD Operations is continuously evolving to maximize engagement from members and team members, taking advantage of insights that help us in improving processes to ensure an optimal experience.

Joining this team will allow you to gain exposure in the following areas:

  • Operational Support and Task Processing: Our Savings Products Operations teams handle member requests and product/service maintenance needs that range from basic to highly complex and time-consuming. As our membership continues to grow, so do expectations for more timely and customized account servicing and more efficient interaction with our back-office teams for the purposes of managing their daily financial needs. Through a combination of job shadowing and task processing, our goal is to identify opportunities to create increased process efficiencies and automated solutions to improve response times and provide more personalized deposit account interactions with our members.
  • Special Project Support: There are several special projects for Savings Products Operations anticipated to kick off or be in initial stages of progress during 2023, with objectives to create a new process, product, or service or to create process efficiencies through automation or task reallocation for existing processes or services. Project support for these initiatives may include the need for resources for business requirements development, process mapping, operational risk assessment and monitoring, forms creation and/or management including disclosure drafting and compliance review and partnership with our training support partners.

Responsibilities will include analyzing processes and procedures to identify areas of opportunity, then create recommendations and influence decision makers. It will be essential for the team member in this position to be inquisitive and a quick learner to understand the evolving product strategy and be able to connect process/procedures to the bigger picture business trends to identify data-driven recommendations that produce results.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current processes and procedures to identify best practices, shifting trends, and areas of opportunity
  • Analyze member data to understand, predict and identify opportunities to influence member and/or frontline support partners behavior
  • Develop recommendations for initiatives or process changes that Savings Products organization could/should pursue based on findings and develop a roadmap or action plan as applicable
  • Develop and present proposal on findings from analysis and research to management up to and including senior executives
  • Become integrated into and participate in the day-to-day strategy and operations of the team

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree from an accredited college/university
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and think outside of the box
  • Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of financial services/payments a plus
  • Comfort telling stories with data

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
