Basic Purpose
Post Settlement Operations is responsible for RESPA Compliance reviews and Critical Document reviews on 100% of all loans closed within REL Lending. To ensure that mortgage and equity loan documents are complete and accurate according to GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC, CFPB, VA, FHA, federal, state, investor, and NFCU guidelines and requirements. To review critical documents for accuracy to validate lien position and salability of the loan. Coordinate changes, revisions, and corrections with other mortgage staff, closing agents, and vendors. Record, track, and monitor documentation issues and productivity.
Post Settlement Operations is moving the needle to move the business unit into having robust reports with high level data, to be able to determine areas of opportunity, process improvements and supports strategic initiatives effectively and efficiently. In addition to developing and creating automated reports for all levels of management.
It will be essential for the team member in this position to have strong analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships. In addition to being familiarity with data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Obtain quantitative and qualitative data of business processes to analyze, determine and
promote data driven decisions
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis using analytical techniques, tools,
models, simulation, etc.
- Develop and present proposal on findings from analysis and research to management
- Become integrated into and participate in the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and operations
of the team
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience with research, analysis, and data manipulation
- Basic analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key
elements, patterns, results, or relationships
- Exposure to the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting,
cost-benefit analysis, and related analytical tools
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
- Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Comfort working with large datasets and telling stories with data
- Ability to work independently and think outside of the box
- Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills
- Basic knowledge of financial services/payments a plus

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.
Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly
Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
