Basic Purpose

In addition to becoming familiar with routine electrical tasks, the potential candidate would also lend support to certain projects that will enhance the campus. The summer intern would provide support to Electrical Services’ LED lighting retrofit project in the way of product and materials delivery, tracking of project data, project material orders, and scheduling.

This position will focus on a combination of tasks within the department, but will focus primarily on administrative duties. The prospective intern will work directly with team members and management, to support the department’s reporting, record keeping, and day-to-day filings. Candidate would also interact and support electricians as they perform specific electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers supplies as required
  • Assist team members with software related issues
  • Configure, file, submit reports as needed
  • Gathers and returns tools, supplies, equipment, and materials for use in
  • electrical projects as instructed
  • Prepares systems or equipment parts and materials as needed
  • Performs general electrical maintenance tasks such as recording data from equipment,

inspecting de-energized equipment, disposal of salvage electrical parts, etc.

  • Providing comprehensive day-to-day support for the organization
  • Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree from an accredited

college/university

  • Must possess Valid Driver’s license
  • General electrical knowledge beneficial, but not required
  • Must be willing in labor-intensive environments
  • Ability to follow work instruction and read/interpret simple drawings and diagrams
  • Must possess basic computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM

Location: 5550 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526

Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
