Basic Purpose

Business Solutions’ purpose is to originate small business loans and communicate the benefits offered by Business Solutions’ products and services to Navy Federal Credit Union’s prospective members. Follow up with members to respond to inquiries and questions related to business products and services. Communicate Navy Federal business services products and services in order to generate a consistent and ongoing flow of new business loan applications and closings.

Responsibilities

• Process business loan and credit card applications according to established laws, requirements and guidelines details Forward completed loan application to Underwriting for final review/approval
• Notify member of loan application status; request additional documentation as needed or required
• Monitor loan system queues and other databases to take action on pending items
• Remain alert to possible account fraud/abuse; forward to appropriate area for review/action
• Review application for completeness, data integrity and accuracy; determine if additional information and/or supporting documentation is required
• Ensure adherence to established Navy Federal Business Solutions policies and procedures
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies/processing problems to include documentation and time-sensitive issues
• Support in the closing of business loans and ensuring loan proceed disbursement
• Basic Sales and consulting skills
• Interact with members, other staff and outside contacts to resolve discrepancies, problems and issues Maintain daily activity log and follow established phone system tracking procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree from an accredited college/university
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to quickly adapt to change
• High proficiency in the use of technology
• Effective Organizational, planning and time management skills
• Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve business objectives
• Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
• Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Effective skill applying research and interpretation of findings to respond to requests for information
• Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Navy Federal Business Lending products, services, programs, policies and procedures
• Working knowledge of lending principles and techniques
• Experience in the financial services industry

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
