Basic Purpose

Business Savings and Membership is a division within the Lending department that seeks to assist our members in meeting their business solutions needs. Our mission is to perform with such excellence that all members come to Navy Federal to obtain their business products. We help to manage their business finances better by offering easy deposits and cash flow management. Nothing is more important to us than seeing our business members succeed. Our passion and expertise for small and veteran owned businesses make us the ideal partner for managing our members business’ finances.

Navy federal business solutions is focused on providing the very best tools and resources to our members whether they are exploring options or expanding operations our suite of business products, financial services, and professional perspective can help them reach their goals with special focus on small businesses. It will be essential for the team member in this position be a strong data storyteller, be a quick learner to understand the evolving product strategy and be able to connect the details in the data to the bigger picture related to business trends.

Potential Projects

  • Analyze opportunities for leveraging systems and subject matter expertise in the fields of payment products, ACH, FedNow, CBDC, Cryptocurrency and RTP creating use cases
  • Identifying processes and create a service readiness roadmap and guide
  • Develop and apply various analytical techniques to assist with operations analysis and help with the creation and development of dashboards related to monitoring these payments

Responsibilities

  • The focus of this role will be to look at data to enable and support the business

members overall financial ability to be successful

  • To review the emerging payments landscape including Fintech options to improve the

business products and services

  • Provide operational support to the business unit
  • Assess the competitive landscape and emerging financial technology players to

identify best practices, shifting trends, and areas of opportunity

  • Become integrated into and participate in the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and

operations of the team

  • Support the performance of studies; analyses; and evaluation of processes; products;

or services, propose process changes

  • Identify data-driven recommendations that produce results
  • Develop recommendations for strategic initiatives or program changes to the Business

Savings organization could/should pursue based on findings, support recommendations

  • Contribute to the business unit’s projects and initiatives, identify trends & options
  • Develop and present proposal including scenarios on findings, from analysis and research

to management, scenarios, and pilot testing hypothesis

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in related field
  • Experience with research, analysis, and data manipulation
  • Experience using data and analytic tools such as: PowerBI and

Tableau, SQL, Databricks

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort working with large datasets and telling stories with data
  • Ability to work independently and think outside of the box
  • Strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of financial services/payments a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter / self-directed
  • Understanding of general Information Technology concepts
  • Experience with business process definition and optimization
  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports and

analyses

  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
