Intern projects include working in all phases of the Software Development Cycle in an Agile environment.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Account & Business Services team is working on several initiatives to improve or technology stack, improve security, support rapid growth, further improve our CI/CD pipeline and others. The team needs assistance with researching various alternatives and working out some details by building some Proofs of Concept (POCs) to decide what solution fits our needs better.

As a Summer Intern, you will:

• Assist with upgrades to existing technology to support our goal of 10X capabilities
• Help streamline some processes with our pipelines regarding security, address vulnerabilities and others
• Support changes required to improve our monitoring end to end across all Account Opening systems
• R&D for some features we need to upgrade such as API DB automatic scaling, API NodeJS framework and others

SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Self-learner who can pick up knowledge through self-study
• Eager to learn and try new things
• Results-oriented mindset; interns will be solving real problems for real customers
• Willingness to work as a team to achieve results
• Eager to share with and learn from others
• Desired skills include:
• Full stack JavaScript development (Nodejs in server, React in client)
• Cloud computing infrastructure in AWS (ECS, CloudFront, etc.)
• Knowledge of component containerization (Docker), K8s, CI/CD concepts
• Knowledge of React JavaScript library, JavaScript testing frameworks like mocha, web browser automation (Selenium), version control (Git)
• Knowledge of REST API concepts and .net service
