Job Summary

Provides support within regulatory affairs department to help execute the company’s regulatory strategy and compliance. Responsible for supervising and reviewing document and data collection in support of Entergy Texas filings to the Public Utility Commission.

Job Duties

  • Researches, develops, plans, designs, maintains and implements policies and programs that enhance the accuracy of data provided to government and regulatory authorities and to other business units.
  • Supports regulatory filings that will allow for sustainable growth to a customer-centric products and services business and support other business objectives.
  • Audits invoices, expense reports and other accounting records for costs that should not be included in customer rates.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory rules or rule changes and ensures that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures. Proposes changes to regulatory framework that will support strategic objectives.
  • Actively participate as a member of various teams involved in the evaluation of key regulatory issues as directed by VP, Regulatory Affairs.
  • Communicates externally as requested by VP, Regulatory Affairs.
  • Assists with preparation of testimony and RFI responses.

Minimum Requirements-Education

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.

Desired: Master’s Degree.

  • Initiative to work independently and adept at working on team assignments with other personnel, departments, and organizations.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft toolkit applications. Capability to produce analyses that range from quick response preliminary screening level through extensively detailed regulatory grade documents.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing work priorities and study assumptions.
  • Ability to prioritize work on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead and drive projects through to completion.
