Job Summary / Purpose

A Student Intern will be a temporarily employed full-time college student at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who is in a work-study program designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study. This position will support Entergy’s Incident Management Systems preparedness efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in crisis or emergency management/ preparedness with a major in Business, Engineering Fields, or Information Technology.

Job Duties / Responsibilities Include

  • Duties will primarily be to assist the company in preparing for, responding to and recovering from incidents:
  • Manage tasks/ projects which support Department goals in preparedness for incidents.
  • Reviewing documents, work instructions, data and reports as needed to ensure accuracy, readability and usefulness.
  • Updating key metrics and readiness indicators which determine business unit performance.
  • Power BI creation & maintenance
  • SharePoint creation & maintenance
  • Support Incident Response applications such as DEPART, WRM Storm Manager, Storm Assignment Management System, and Everbridge Mass Communication application.
  • Performing other duties, as assigned by management
  • Travel as necessary in support of an incident response to company command centers.

Minimum Education Required Of The Position

Candidate must be enrolled in accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Desired Skills

Good written and verbal communications skills

Self-starter with motivation to deliver results

Ability to quickly learn and navigate software applications

Good computer skills (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)

SharePoint and Power B/I knowledge

Ability to work in the online/ virtual environment.
