Would you like to join DanChurchAid’s (DCA) collaboration with donors and global partners to mobilise resources for development, humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts in Africa, Middle East and Asia? DCA’s Global Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Unit has an opening for a student assistant. We seek competent and thorough students to join a very well-functioning team of team players.

GPRM provide advice and support for projects to international donors, such as EU, USAID and UN, as well as Danish and international foundations. We collaborate closely with DCA’s country offices and partner organisations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East; with donors and other global partners; and all the units at headquarters in Copenhagen. We work to ensure high quality project design and grants management meeting international standards. The GPRM team consists of a head of unit, a budget coordinator, two student assistants, four special advisors and seven country specific advisors.

Your tasks:

  • Be part of our Donor Tracking Team and identify relevant funding opportunities for DCA
  • Support your GPRM colleague – in Denmark and in the country offices – in the development and submission of project proposals, including finding due diligence documents
  • Support budget coordinator with the annual budget process and analyses of budget data
  • Develop our monthly news letter, contribute to donor briefs and update of country fact sheets
  • Update GPRM’s online learning platform, toolbox and resources, etc.
  • Collaborate with media unit on input to and maintenance of information material on donors, projects, etc. to DCA’s international website
  • Participate in relevant meeting and working group, including note taking.
  • Support on a range of ad hoc administrative and practical tasks.

Your qualifications/competences/background:

  • Have interest for and knowledge of international development, humanitarian and peacebuilding work
  • Work systematically and independently with large data material
  • Have good communication and writing skills in Danish and English (our team has English speakers so English is the work language)
  • Have Solid IT experience, especially with Microsoft Office package
  • Be a student at a higher learning institute with a minimum of two year left of studying
  • Be good at showing initiative, learning-by-doing, open and flexible.
