Role Overview
IPPF Humanitarian Team is seeking a consultant to support the implementation of IPPF’s emergency fund, Stream3.
Role Objectives
The Consultant will support MAs globally who are facing a humanitarian crisis to develop a Stream3 proposals and provide guidance during the implementation of their response (including Technical support on MISP and data collection). The consultant will also support IPPF regional offices on Stream3 matters, where necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Stream3:
- Conduct “Hot Calls” with MAs facing a humanitarian crisis to determine a go/no go
- Support the MA to develop a Stream3 proposal (including narrative and budget)
- Support the MA with the implementation of their response – including the implementation of data collection tools
- Follow up with MAs on reports
- Ensure the Humanitarian Team’s Emergency tracker is up to date
- Support the Humanitarian Technical Lead on orienting new staff and other teams on Stream3
Key Deliverables
Stream3:
- Approx. ten/twelve Stream3 proposals approved
- Updated Emergency Tracker
- Organised filing of all Stream3 alerts, proposals and reports.
Qualifications
- Public Health or Project Management degree or related qualification
Competencies, Skills, and Experience
- 10 years experience implementing Humanitarian SRH Responses in emergency settings
- Demonstrable understanding of the Minimum Initial Service Package of Reproductive Health in Emergency Settings (the MISP) and demonstrated ability to teach it to others
Language Requirements and Proficiency Required
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Written and spoken French or Arabic a significant advantage
