Job Description:
- Supports the Space & Airborne System (SAS) strategic planning process by providing research and analysis in support of growth plans and strategies
- Conducts research, analysis and financial modeling on topics including:
- Competitor intelligence in support of SAS business development and pursuits
- Market and budget analysis on key segments of US and international defense budgets
- Business models and strategies for growth
- Diligence on SAS targets for acquisition, investment, and/or partnership
- Strategic studies and white papers as identified by SAS business executives
- Learn and leverage core strategy tools and frameworks to assist in the development of business growth strategies
- Collaborates directly with key personnel across the L3Harris enterprise, including business development, engineering, program management, government relations, and peer strategy teams
- Supports SAS innovation and technology strategy development, including the creation of mission and technology roadmaps
- Plan, lead, and complete a major strategy analysis project on a topic identified by the SAS Strategy Team and intern
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Strong interest in the defense industry with a deep curiosity to learn about its competitors, technologies, and landscape
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
- MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint experience; data analysis and visualization tool experience
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive to an analytically based conclusion
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and synthesize large amounts of information from various expert stakeholders to drive insight and decisions
- Ability to highlight key insights and questions within complex data sets
- Fast learner with the ability to take initial direction and self-manage to complete assignments on time and to expectations
- Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously
