Job overview/Summary: The Health Unit Sr Strategy Delivery Advisor performs an essential role as a partner to the HU Senior Management Team on successful planning and execution of the health strategy. This role is a leadership role to plan and translate the health strategy into performance. The role will work with technical, program and policy leaders in the health unit to establish clear plans for scale, program development and learning, set metrics and goals by which to measure success and establish process to steer progress to outcomes. The position requires a track record of leadership and strategic management for outcomes, strong planning and problem-solving skills, good knowledge of the health sector and relevant sub-sectors and the ability to work well in a diverse, dynamic technical team.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work with priority leads to take forward scaling, programming, and learning plans for each of the health strategic priorities.

• Coordinate with priority leads to define key metrics, use data to set ambitious targets and measures of success.

• Track progress and engage collaborative problem solving to keep delivery on track.

• Co-Identify and articulate early wins and solutions to common delivery challenges.

• Provide direction, guidance and counseling to the Health Unit leadership for the successful implementation of the health strategy.

• Help create the right mind-set (ambitious, solution-oriented) on strategy performance among key leaders.

• Collaborate with Global and Regional Health Practice Leads and technical advisors to identify effective and efficient ways to achieve health strategic priorities through technical assistance, business development, advocacy, and day-to-day operation.

Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

• Masters degree with 8 -10 years of relevant work experience.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

**Education:**Masters Degree in Health Science, Business Management or related field

**Language Skills:**Fluency in English; French, Spanish or Arabic would be an asset

Certificates or Licenses:

Preferred experience & skills:

• Track record of strategic management to achieve outcomes across large-scale cross functional projects

• Knowledge of public health, the humanitarian health sector and relevant sub-sectors

• Ability to interpret and evaluate evidence related to health outcomes and program effectiveness.

• Exceptional analytical skills and demonstrated ability to structure and creatively solve complex problems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to be clear and concise in communications targeting senior audience.

• Highly collaborative, particularly the ability to engage with cross-functional global team at all levels.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to deliver on time and make progress against multiple demands.

• Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills with peers as well as senior leadership

Working Environment:

• Standard office working environment

• Some international travel as needed up to 20%

• This role may require working remotely part time, and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US and UK-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
