The Position
The Strategic Planning Director will report to the Head of Business Management in the Trading & Asset Services Business Unit and is a member of the Business Management leadership team. This role will be within the Performance team and will help transform and manage the overall Business Unit, driving the strategic growth agenda. This role will analyze underperforming businesses, assess investment performance, drive strategic growth initiatives, develop frameworks for OKR/KPI reporting and be involved in assessing M&A targets and integrating acquisitions. Being effective in this role requires developing strong trusted relationships and partnerships with Functional leaders, Finance, Sales Leaders, Delivery Management and Solution Management teams located around the globe. This position requires the ability to quickly identify the problem statement, effectively navigate the organization, providing logical, innovative, and creative solutions to challenges.
Job Responsibilities
Operations & Business Performance
Utilize highly analytical mindset, excellent business judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills to drive transformation as well as the strategic growth agenda.
Leverage financial and business acumen to understand root cause and navigate a matrixed organization to drive improved outcomes.
Prepare analysis leveraging financial and non-financial data to improve Sale to Revenue conversion and overall business performance.
Identify areas of opportunity and collaboratively work with Solution Management, Finance, Commercial Management, and functional teams including CIO, Development, Professional Services and Client Services to drive desired outcomes.
Leadership
Effectively challenge the status quo and infuse innovation and transformation.
Collaborate with the other leaders in the organization to drive process improvements and growth initiatives across Trading and Asset Services BU.
Effectively coach other team members being a role model in terms of ethics.
Display an open mindset, receptive to ideas of others to drive continuous improvements.
Assert and influence others across all levels of the organization.
Communication
Provide articulate and effective communications and presentations which convey financial results and performance against metrics and in a clear and compelling manner to all levels of the organization.
Coordinate through recurring communications with Finance BU CFO and Sales leadership to interlock on Sales targets and Sales to Revenue.
Demonstrate a passion for understanding the business and identify areas of opportunities that align to FIS financial and strategic objectives.
Required Skills
+8 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or finance in the fintech industry
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
Exceptional analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills with ability to understanding drivers and impacts.
Fast learner with intellectual capacity to function in a highly complex global organization.
Highly organized, proactive, tenacious, and detail oriented.
Ability to exercise sound business judgment in decision making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of technical and non-technical colleagues.
Strong sense of integrity and ethics.
