About the Role

This role contributes to MSI’s Commercial sales objectives by facilitating effective project & sales management; supporting the strategic plans to improve Country Programme capacity in sales & marketing of products for social good. This role will provide the opportunity to understand the drivers of the channels’ financial performance and support the operational teams to understand, monitor and meet their strategic goals. Ability to manage your time with competing priorities and fluctuating workload is essential.

The ideal Candidate will be an inquisitive financial analyst with experience gained working in a commercial, analytical or finance team for 3+ years who has a strong commercial mindset who understands the drivers of profitability. The role requires someone who is enthusiastic and a team player with strong modelling skills and a track record of improving processes and tools to better understanding sales results and aid better decision-making. You will be well versed in communicating complex financial concepts and analysis into easily understandable language that speaks to operational overseas staff.

This is an exciting role for a finance analyst at the intersection of financial and strategic operations, to support a sector leading operation through strong financial insights and commercial support in a period of strong growth.

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:

  • Experience working in a commercial, analytical or finance team for 3+ years
  • Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role.
  • Strong commercial mindset, understanding the drivers of profitability
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and manging conflicting priorities

Desirable

  • Experience of donor regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Financial and programmatic management experience.

Experience of International and multi-cultural organisation

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in excel including the building of finance models
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency. – Ability to analyse and interpret complex data, identify key trends and insights
  • Ability to present complex financial and non-financial information to various differing stakeholders in a clear, concise, understandable, and compelling way
  • Ability to build relationships, influence, coach, and mentor remote teams
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple pieces of work simultaneously

Desirable

  • Familiarity with BI systems, data query tools
  • Knowledge of reproductive healthcare.

Education:

  • Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, other) – essential
  • Educated to Degree: Finance Level (Accounting, Economics or Statistics desirable).

Location: Hanoi Vietnam, or any country in which MSI operates.

Full-time: 40 hours a week

Contract type: 6 month fixed term contract

Salary: The role will be banded within national context. Discretionary bonus + benefits

For internal employees applying from an MSI country programme, the role will be positioned within the existing salary structure of the country. Local terms and conditions of the country will apply.
