WWF-Myanmar is now inviting applications for a Strategic Engagement Director based in Yangon, Myanmar.

Major Function

The Strategic Engagement Director oversees all national-level strategic engagement, which includes

  • High-level stakeholders
  • INGOs, NGOs, CSOs
  • Private sector
  • Academia

The Director is responsible for cultivating strategic relationships and alliances for WWF as an organization and for specific projects. The position holder will work to realize and implement the overall strategic engagement at the national-level, incorporating alliances with the private sector, academia, civil society organizations, and other key high-level stakeholders to further WWF’s conservation aims.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Marketing, Economics, Communication, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least ten years proven experience of successful networking and high level relations in government, corporate, development, environmental, diplomatic sectors.
  • Experience and expertise in developing relationships with high level stakeholders, institutional donors, high net worth individuals, corporations and INGO, NGOs and CSOs.
  • Experience of building and managing relationships within the Myanmar context.
  • Building working relationships and communicating effectively
  • Influencing others and stakeholder focus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Myanmar language
