The Business Risk Management (BRM) Branch develops and delivers risk management and adaption policies and programs to maintain and enhance the stability and viability of British Columbia’s agri-food industries. Its mission is to provide quality, innovative agricultural risk management products and services that help farms and farm organizations proactively manage uncertainty through the delivery of production insurance, income stabilization and wildlife damage compensation programs.
This position is responsible for BRM program delivery and works directly with agriculture producers. The primary focus of the position is customer service, specifically providing information and assistance to ensure timely, accurate and complete information. This position is the key liaison between local producers and other BRM support staff.

Job Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, agricultural science or related field and a minimum of 3 years recent (within the last 10 years), progressive and related experience OR
- A technical diploma in business, agricultural science or related field and a minimum of 5 years recent (within the last 10 years), progressive and related experience OR
- An equivalent combination of education and recent (within the last 10 years), progressive and related experience (minimum 7 years) may be considered.
Preference May Be Given To Applicants With The Following
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the discipline of Agronomy or related primary agriculture production.
- Experience with the production of Tree fruit and/or Grape crops grown in B.C.
- Experience delivering Agriculture Risk Management Programs.
Provisos/Willingness Statements
- Valid B.C. driver’s licence or equivalent.
- May conduct field work.
- Meet safety standards of Work Safe B.C.
