Job Description
THRIVE to MAXIMISE is Stirling Council’s employability programme established to help parents address barriers to work and provide support with the increasing challenges of in-work poverty.
We now seek a temporary Learning and Employability Officer to provide family support interventions for parents and families in targeted communities affording participants the best opportunity to progress through the programme. You will work with other staff in the programme including Money, Debt and Benefit advisors and other Learning and Employability officers providing employability support.
You will have substantial experience in building effective relationships with parents and be able to sustain their motivation and participation. You will be familiar with the barriers that parents and families face and be able to work successfully in identifying their needs and providing relevant support interventions that help them to progress. Partnership working skills will also be key in respect of the design and delivery of family support interventions and referral to third sector organisations which best meet the needs of parents and families.
This programme and this post is key to supporting the outcomes of our Child Poverty Plan. This post is funded by the European Social Fund programme and Stirling Council until end of June 2023 with the possibility of extension through the securing of additional funds to support the work.
Requirements
