Staff Accountant

Join our growing team! EisnerAmper is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Outsourced Finance & Accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is client service oriented, creative and tech savvy.

You will provide outsourced accounting and Controller services for a variety of clients including subsidiaries and joint ventures of Fortune 100 companies, public companies, professionally funded businesses and Fund management companies. Our diverse client base includes life science, technology, financial services and other industries.

The Staff Accountant continues the development of their technical knowledge and ability to handle multiple assignments in preparing for advancement in the Firm, the public accounting profession, and the community. You will direct the daily progress of each engagement and have an increasing number of clients assigned on a continuing basis. Performance is judged based on the quality of work, application of accounting knowledge, ability to meet time constraints, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the accounting functions of the clients and their various entities.
• Maintains a solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
• Develops insight into clients’ systems and procedures, overall business operations and industries.
• Obtain information for preparing tax returns, technical memoranda, reports, etc. and prepare the same
• Organize client files to support the investment analysis reports and tax return information, and prepare supporting schedules as needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize non-routine accounting, investment and tax problems and, after research, suggest solutions.
• Assist with other accounting projects, as needed

Basic Qualifications For The Opportunity

• Bachelor’s degree or another discipline with college-level coursework in accounting is preferred.
• Either hold a current and valid CPA license, or working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the Florida CPA exam is preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
• Good knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Familiarity with cloud based accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Concur, Expensify
