POSITION STATUS: Permanent Full-Time
Description Of The Position
Senior Specialist, IT Security & Network Infrastructure will join the team of two other Senior Specialist. One with the focus on Network solutions and the other with the focus on infrastructure solutions. On top of Managing IT Security, you will be assisting the other team members with day to day management of the current Network and infrastructure systems.
You will be accountable to plan, implement and deliver solutions to meet IT Security needs and will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the organization’s technology systems. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, delivering, and managing solutions associated with Information Security improvement initiatives.
In addition, this individual will be responsible to document solutions and processes, train users, and seek out continuous improvement opportunities for implemented solutions.
Required Skills
YOU WILL:
- Security Incident Management;
- Monitoring and Escalation;
- Meeting with our external vendor providing AI Based Cybersecurity;
- Lead the configuration and maintenance of IT Security systems, make recommendations, based on best practices;
- Work closely with IT director on our Security Awareness platform;
- Manage penetration tests, audits and vulnerability assessments;
- Identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve technical issues proactively;
- Meet with business IT stakeholders to understand organizational needs with regards to Information security management;
- Research, propose and design processes as well as technology solutions and IT needs;
- Document all aspects of proposed processes and solutions;
- Develop, plan and execute full deployments of successful pilot programs;
- Responsible for general project management;
- Provide cross-functional technical training;
- 24X7 availability for emergency resolution of critical incidents.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in a Systems/Network Analyst or related role;
- A university degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Experience managing, Application Security on premise & cloud, Network Security-Local & Wide Area, Virtualization platform Security, Access Control Management, Vulnerability Scanning and Management, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Web Application Firewall, Security Monitoring, Hardened Server & Workstation image, Security Awareness Training & IT Security Policy management and Penetration Testing;
- CISM, CCSK, CEH, CISSP, GIAC, GCIH, GSEC, PMP and other certification an asset;
- Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE an asset;
- Strong ability understanding on monitoring and log management an asset.
TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE: SALARY RANGE: $78,481 – $116,648
