Sr. Resident Engineer (Automotive)

• You are the first point of contact for the customer on project-related technical topics (including collecting, analyzing, and answering project-specific questions).
• Establish good relationships between customers and TomTom project teams.
• Attend all relevant project meetings at the customer’s location.
• Support milestone validation, bench-tests and test drives.
• Analyze, track and follow up with the reported/detected issues.
• Work with interdisciplinary/international engineering teams in Belgium, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, and Taipei.
• Support integration and validation together with the customers and report status and progress to the project team, ensuring thorough follow-ups.
• Support local customer quality departments and customer factories with quality issues.
• Manage assigned customer projects.
• Become an expert on TomTom products Service data and Map products.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience in the relevant business area.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Korean are a must.
• Thorough understanding of navigation, traffic TPEG service and traffic quality tooling.
• Knowledge of GIS and spatial database systems (e.g. QGIS), requirements management and bug tracking systems (e.g. Jira).
• Experience in infrastructure & Network (Server) and using analysis tools
• Experience in software development or database scripting (preferred Java, SQL) is a plus
• Flexibility to travel to and work at the customers’ sites when necessary.
• Willingness to develop expertise in digital maps and linked data models, become acquainted, and work with tools like Jira, confluence, API services, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, take sub-project leading roles and work closely with the project lead.
• Experience working with multinational, cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and/or in people management is a plus.
