Primary Function/General Purpose Of Position

The Sr Pricing Strategist is responsible for developing pricing strategies for competitive and compelling price proposals for key strategic opportunities to drive margin growth for BSMH. These strategies will include pricing and terms that are in-line with product value, revenue, margin targets, and client relationship objectives. This role will also play an active role during pricing negotiations with external customers. While this person will report directly to the CFO for Shared Services, they will serve as a primary advisor with the Chief Digital Officer on pricing solutions and strategies in the digital segment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and implements pricing models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and assists in the development of creative, workable, pricing solutions in response to client pricing demands
  • Supports BSMH business partners in analyzing data from multiple sources, developing complex pricing models, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies
  • Clearly delineates cost distributions of shared resources that span multiple products and services, providing accurate profitability by service line or product
  • Examines industry standards, and performs market research and financial analysis on pricing strategies of competitors to help BSMH business partners determine and set competitive prices
  • Examines internal cost structures to ensure accurate margin targets
  • Develops standard and ad hoc reports
  • Participates in pricing negotiations with potential new or existing customers

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, or relevant field (required)

Masters Degree in Finance, Business or relevant field (preferred)

Work Experience

5 years of experience in pricing-related role (required)

5 years of experience in finance or similar capacity (required)

Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.
