Custom Billing Solutions (CBS) in Amazon Development Center India Private Limited (ADCI) is looking for a Senior Contract Ops Manager to manage a team of analysts supporting private pricing contract constructs and custom billing constructs. We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who’s passionate about hiring and developing talented people, managing operational processes, diving into the details of pricing models and contracts, and delivering high quality results for internal customers. This team member will have an opportunity to innovate through process improvement and participate in cross-functional team initiatives. This role will require engagement and alignment with business teams, finance teams, global operational teams, and product managers.

The successful candidate will be process-oriented, highly analytical, and able to work effectively across multiple operational and finance teams. We are looking for an individual with a proven record of delivering results through strong people management and project management skills, problem solving skills, and keen attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • Recruitment and management of a team of approximately five analysts.
  • Provide training, coaching, and escalated support to help ensure the internal team’s deliverables meet SLAs.
  • Proactively evaluate, develop, and simplify working procedures to continuously improve the operations of the team and reduce risks.
  • Support analysts in interpretation of complex pricing contracts to internal teams and communication of operational risks.
  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with internal partners including CBS operations, Business Development, Accounting, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to understand in-depth and improve existing models and processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with a proven record of successful project delivery working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Experience working with legal contracts and interpreting complex commercial terms.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in billing operations, contract operations, finance, and/or accounting.
  • Experience in contract creation and review, comfortable with contractual verbiage.
  • 2+ years of people management and leadership.
  • Business analysis and management experience with quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
  • Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
