The Role

The Administrative Assistant carries out administrative tasks and works on projects across all business areas related to the firm operations team. The majority of the work you will complete will be directly with Thomas Spraggs and the work he does internally and externally to the firm. Through regular meetings and check-ins with the leadership team, the Administrative Assistant is provided with direction on tasks that need to be accomplished.

As an Administrative Assistant you will spend most of your time:

Data entry including creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Managing personal calendars and scheduling
Assisting with tasks for Thomas Spraggs outside Spraggs Law:
Law Society of BC Bencher responsibilities
Vendor Management
Document Management
Executing assigned tasks related to business strategy and development, ie: drafting correspondence & special projects
Liaising with company-related vendors
File Room Tasks:
Incoming / outgoing mail
Document filing
Reception coverage
Other responsibilities and directives as assigned

 

About You

Aspirations of exciting administrative career
Strong attention to detail
Effective organization and time management skills
A pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
At least 1 year of experience working in a professional administrative role or relevant education
An aptitude for using various software packages such as Microsoft Suite and other technological applications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective at prioritizing tasks
Positive & strong attitude
You value being part of a team but can work efficiently independently and proactively
Experience in a law firm or use of an integrated software suite such as ProLaw, Filevine, and/or Lead Docket is a plus but not required.
