About The Position

You will be a member of our People (Operations) team. As the People Operations team, we make sure that a Showpad employee should never lose any sleep over any HR matter.

As a People Operations Specialist you’ll contribute to the overall employee experience of our Showpad colleagues by playing a role in on- and offboarding (think drafting employment contracts, assisting with resignations and terminations), payroll preparation, benefits administration, etc.

You’ll be part of the global People team and support the EMEA People Operations team reporting to the team Manager. Our mission is to always deliver the best possible employee experience and we constantly push ourselves to deliver top-notch results.

Key Responsibilities As a People Operations Specialist At Showpad

  • Perform data entry and monthly payroll preparation for +-200 EMEA employees (in 6 locations), as well as handle year-end payroll and tax reporting requirements. You will not be alone in this but support the EMEA Operations Manager and work closely with 1 other Specialist
  • Coordinate and assist with compliance reporting requirements and annual audits
  • Supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding by answering all questions, providing necessary documents, partnering with vendors and updating systems
  • Field employee questions related to benefits and compensation
  • Maintain the HRIS (Workday) ensuring employee changes and information are up to date and accurate
  • Preparation and execution of People documents (contracts, addenda, other paperwork) through Docusign
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders like Accounting team (benefits invoices, payroll taxes and invoices) and IT Operations (Employee Onboarding / Offboarding)
  • Work closely within the People team to deliver a smooth employee experience to Showpad employees

Required Skills For a People Operations Specialist At Showpad

  • 1-5 years of experience as an HR specialist or equivalent, of which min. 1-2 years of experience in a payroll function including preparation, year-end reporting, and payroll taxes (which should give you understanding of payroll/benefits administration)
  • Basic Excel, MS Suite and Google platform (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) knowledge
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced work environment with a high volume workload (where you will need to set priorities)
  • Strong team player with a high level of organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about helping others and providing excellent customer service combined with a good portion of critical business thinking
  • Efficiency, accuracy and work planning
  • Excellent with written and verbal communication
  • Able to handle confidential information maturely
  • Fluent in English

Bonus Points

  • The ability to think out of the box and help us further increasing employee experience
  • HRIS (Workday) experience
  • Knowledge of social legislation in one or more of our main countries (UK, Germany, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Spain)
  • Experience in Google Suite, Slack, Workday
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, German, Polish or other languages we may add whilst Showpad continues to grow 🙂
  • Sense of humour
