International Medical Corps

To provide Human Resources support to identified Country Programs. To support all aspects of Country Program HR processes by ensuring quality standards in HR are developed and maintained in tandem with the global HR strategy. Support implementation of operational HR initiatives in liaison with regional HR teams and Country teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction using problem solving ability, negotiation skills, responsiveness, and continual communication.

Job Summary:

To provide Human Resources support to identified Country Programs. To support all aspects of Country Program HR processes by ensuring quality standards in HR are developed and maintained in tandem with the global HR strategy. Support implementation of operational HR initiatives in liaison with regional HR teams and Country teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction using problem solving ability, negotiation skills, responsiveness, and continual communication.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide operational HR business partnerships to country teams
• Provide in country technical support to HR staff, coaching with focus on issues related to workplace relations, performance management, leadership development and conflict management
• Together with regional HR teams and country HR leads, lead the implementation of specific HR projects
• Provides training, coaching, and capacity building to HR staff in country offices to ensure consistent application of policies and processes
• Supports Country teams implementation of compliance and audit recommendations.
• Assists local HR staff in implementation of Corporate HR policies and processes
• Visits countries within their designated area and completes a report for each visit.
• Provide in country support and complete detailed ASIS report for each visit.
• Supports in country implementation of employee relations, compliance or safeguarding investigations
• Deployment to emergency response to provide HR support.
• Coordinates with regional HR team on communication and outreach activities regarding HR projects/initiatives
• Supports and provides guidance on Learning and Development initiatives
• Provide backstopping HR support to country teams as necessary
• Support field data collection initiatives to support ongoing global HR projects
• Support the annual review of compensation and benefit packages for the region ensuring consultation with relevant stakeholders
• Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information

Minimum Requirements
• Typically, a 4-year University degree in related area. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
• Typically, 8+ years of relevant and progressive experience working in human resources, including at least 5 years in the NGO industry, providing support to multi-international country programs.
• Leadership & people management experience
• Good knowledge of IT platforms
• Strong MS Office Suite skills
• Strong technical knowledge of human resources practices
• Ability to drive for results
• Project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
• INGO and field experience
• Language: English and Arabic
• Location: Africa, Middle East or European Time Zone
