ROLE CONTEXT

We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic Podcast Producer to produce and manage our new series from conception through to completion. You will supervise your staff through the planning and implementation of each episode, while producing a bold and empowered series centered around issues of women’s human rights.

As a producer, you would have many duties, but chief among them would be acting as a creative sparkplug and displaying an entrepreneurial spirit that would allow our projects to be created as quickly and efficiently as possible. As producer you will work with fellow producers and will be responsible for shaping the project, from preproduction to debut. In coordination with your team, you will initiate, coordinate and supervise aspects of a production, from hiring key personnel, to arranging for distributors.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

o Assist with the hiring of key production members;
o Manage the logistics side of a production;
o Ability to prepare a production budget when needed;
o Ensure compliance with regulations and codes of practice;
o Identify and select supporting contributors;
o Monitor and control progress and supervision of post-production

REQUIREMENTS

o Must be a native Spanish speaker or fluent in Spanish;
o Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team;

o Flexibility, initiative, and good problem-solving abilities;
o Multicultural experience and sensitivity to cross-cultural differences;
o Desire to work in a women’s human rights environment;
o Strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently;
o Attention to detail a must;
o Comfortable contacting potential guests and sources;
o Experience with podcast production
o Contacts within the industry a plus;

o Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
o Proficiency in English;
o The ability to generate ideas: collect, investigate and test ideas;
o The ability to prepare a proposal: researching, gaining access, having motivation, writing a synopsis, assembling a team, creating a schedule and financial plan/estimating a budget;

o Preproduction skills: confirm arrangements, pre-production meeting and interviews, secure logistics of interviews;
o Production skills: recording material, maintaining relationship with subject, storytelling, working with archive material, production related documentation;

o Postproduction skills: assist with the preparation of transcript translations, and supervise editing.
