Solution Architect (Tech Lead) Observability

At SimCorp, we are currently in the process of re-thinking (and redesigning) our telemetry framework and tools and are looking for a solution architect (technical lead) to join the Observability product area. If you are passionate about data and can envision a solution and build it from the ground up – we are looking for you!

Ideally, you are AWS or Azure certified and can utilize cloud services to their potential while being conscious of the costs associated with them and able to quickly estimate it.

Telemetry analytics at SimCorp is presently consumed in different solutions such as Azure Monitor (Application Insights, Log Analytics etc), Elastic Cloud and Grafana which in turn ingest disparate data sets in various formats such as time-series, logs, business metrics and more.

Making sense of the data we capture from our systems makes up a good portion of the work that lays ahead and you are expected to participate in the effort – therefore experience modelling and analyzing data and working with dashboards would be a significant advantage.

Together with the Scrum master and Product Owner you will be responsible for the delivery performance of 3 agile/scrum teams based in Kyiv.

You will be based out of our Kyiv office with part of the team but will be working in close cooperation with our office in Copenhagen – Denmark, where product development is located. SimCorp is a global organization and leader in the financial services sector for over 50 years with more than 2000 employees and offices around the world.

It is essential that you have:

• Substantial experience as a full-stack software engineer of at least 5 years – preferably 10.
• Cloud certified – Azure/AWS, and experience with containerization, RESTfull services etc.
• Substantial experience with data integration, working with disparate data sets and warehousing solutions.
• Proven ability in building MVPs, working with complex concepts and abstractions.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar.

It is highly desirable but not essential that:

• You have experience in the observability area and have built, implemented and delivered telemetry solutions in previous projects.
• You have experience working as a member of hybrid DevOps team.
• Have experience with SimCorp Dimension.
